Education, Leadership & Social Inclusion
Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders Today
At Yendi Youth Connect, we believe education is not just about schooling—it’s about empowerment, self-awareness, and leadership. Our Education and Leadership Programs in Yendi are designed to nurture confident, inclusive, and purpose-driven youth. From digital literacy to school-based leadership clubs, we equip young people with the tools they need to thrive, lead, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Our Approach
Inclusive Youth Development in Yendi
At the core of our approach is the belief that young people are powerful agents of change. Through our education and leadership programs in Yendi, we identify, nurture, and empower students—especially girls, students with disabilities, and those from underserved communities—to become confident, purpose-driven changemakers.
YYC’s inclusive programs span junior and senior high schools and directly address the challenges faced by youth in Northern Ghana, such as limited access to digital skills, lack of mentorship, and weak civic engagement structures.
From after-school leadership sessions to structured mentorship by local role models, we’re building a movement of future leaders.

Goals of Our Education and Leadership Programs in Yendi

Promote Purposeful Youth Leadership
To raise a generation of self-aware, ethical, and socially responsible leaders in the Greater Yendi area.
Expand Access to Mentorship and Digital Literacy
To equip youth with 21st-century skills and meaningful relationships that support academic, emotional, and career development.
Strengthen Civic Engagement through School Clubs
To encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and advocacy through student-led initiatives in governance, climate action, and community service.
Foster Inclusive Participation
To ensure that girls, students with disabilities, and marginalized youth are fully included in every aspect of leadership and education programming.
Leadership Bootcamps & Mentorship
We connect students with volunteer mentors—teachers, professionals, and community leaders— who provide guidance, career advice, and psychosocial support. Mentorship sessions are held monthly in schools and during community events.
Digital Literacy Training
Our digital literacy component teaches students basic computer skills, internet safety, and the use of digital tools for education and activism. We host bootcamps, mobile tech hubs, and hands-on coding activities.
School-Based Leadership Clubs
YYC establishes student-led clubs in selected JHS and SHS schools across Yendi. These clubs run under structured monthly themes like gender equality, environmental leadership, peacebuilding, and innovation.
Radio & Media Advocacy
To amplify youth voices, we run a weekly radio show featuring club discussions, interviews, and civic education segments, reaching over 10,000 listeners across Yendi and beyond.
Civic Engagement Projects
Club members implement school and community projects—clean-ups, debates, peer mentoring, advocacy campaigns—that build leadership in action. These projects nurture civic responsibility and social inclusion.
