Youth Mentorship Meets Social Engagement
GenZ Connect – Building Bridges to Success
GenZ Connect is an innovative social engagement initiative by Yendi Youth Connect, using hangouts, parties, games, and creative forums to attract and mentor Gen Z youth in Yendi’s tertiary institutions. It’s where mentorship meets music, dialogue meets dance, and fun fuels personal growth.
Meeting Gen Z Where They Are
GenZ Connect is a youth mentorship and outreach model that leverages entertainment and social interaction to connect with young people aged 18–25, especially those in tertiary schools and vocational institutions within Yendi and its surroundings.
Understanding that traditional outreach often misses this vibrant demographic, the project transforms parties, excursions, talent shows, film nights, and safe social spaces into platforms for dialogue, mentoring, mental health awareness, and skill-building. Through these curated events, youth are guided to discover their identity, expand their networks, and align their talents with positive life choices.

What We Aim to Achieve
In Yendi, many young adults in tertiary institutions navigate identity, relationships, digital pressures, and economic uncertainty without structured support. Most have outgrown school clubs but are not yet reached by traditional NGOs or civic platforms.
GenZ Connect recognizes that you can’t mentor who you can’t reach. By creating relevant and entertaining events, the initiative draws in young people naturally and provides room to introduce deeper topics—like leadership, self-worth, digital ethics, and professional growth—in a fun and safe environment.
