Empowering Through Enterprise
Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Livelihoods in Yendi
Yendi Youth Connect empowers young people, women, and marginalized groups through skills training, entrepreneurship coaching, and livelihood support. We believe that sustainable economic freedom begins with opportunity, dignity, and local innovation.
Why Livelihoods Matter
Fostering Economic Independence in Northern Ghana
At Yendi Youth Connect, we recognize that economic hardship is one of the root causes of inequality and youth disempowerment. That’s why our Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Livelihoods in Yendi program provides pathways for young people, women, and PWDs to access vocational skills, business coaching, and self-employment opportunities.
Our holistic approach combines training, mentorship, community engagement, and access to resources. Whether it’s a young woman learning shea processing or a youth turning passion into a business, we walk with them from idea to income, creating ripple effects across entire communities.

Goals of Our Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Livelihoods in Yendi

Empower Through Skills
We equip youth and women with practical vocational, entrepreneurship, and digital skills to unlock sustainable income and local job opportunities.
Build Economic Resilience
Through coaching, savings groups, and startup support, we enable self-reliance and strengthen household economic security in vulnerable communities.
Support Inclusive Enterprise
We foster local enterprise systems rooted in equity, creativity, and cultural relevance—making space for all to thrive in Yendi’s economic transformation.
Tackle Poverty at the Root
Our work builds the capacity of marginalized groups to actively participate in local markets—reducing poverty and long-term dependency.
Skills Training & Apprenticeships
We deliver hands-on vocational training in tailoring, hairdressing, shea processing, and more to boost self-employment and market readiness.
Business Coaching & Mentorship
Participants receive personalized coaching, mentoring, and role-model guidance from experienced entrepreneurs and local professionals.
School-Based Leadership Clubs
YYC establishes student-led clubs in selected JHS and SHS schools across Yendi. These clubs run under structured monthly themes like gender equality, environmental leadership, peacebuilding, and innovation.
Savings & Financial Literacy
We form savings groups and run workshops on budgeting, record-keeping, and financial decision-making to strengthen long-term financial security.
