Led by local youth, for local youth, the Summit offers powerful mentorship, life-changing stories, and leadership development opportunities that spark ambition and drive real community change.
Yendi Youth Summit – Empowering the Next Generation
The Yendi Youth Summit is Yendi Youth Connect’s first and most iconic project—an annual gathering that brings together hundreds of young people across the Yendi Municipality to engage, learn, and lead. It is a youth-led event where achievers with roots in Yendi return home to share their stories, mentor the next generation, and challenge youth to dream beyond their limitations.
Since its inception, the summit has become a symbol of hope and pride for local youth. Through panel discussions, leadership clinics, debates, sports, exhibitions, and creative showcases, the summit instills confidence, builds networks, and nurtures a generation of leaders ready to transform Northern Ghana from within.

What We Aim to Achieve
Yendi, like many parts of Northern Ghana, faces deep-rooted challenges—youth unemployment, limited mentorship, and a lack of positive role models. Many young people grow up without believing success is possible for them. The summit was launched to close this inspiration gap—to bring role models home, to bridge the rural-urban dream divide, and to build a movement where young people believe in themselves and the future of their community.
