What We Aim to Achieve

Despite its symbolic and economic potential, smock weaving in Yendi faces fragmentation, poverty-level income, lack of training, and missed tourism opportunities. Many artisans work informally and youth are abandoning the trade. The Smock Village will centralize production, upskill artisans, and unlock national and global market access.

Empower Artisans as Co-owners

Establish a cooperative model where weavers and tailors are shareholders in the enterprise and benefit directly from sales.

Build a Heritage-Focused Ecohub

Create a functional village with workspaces, a tourism center, showrooms, and digital commerce infrastructure.

Train and Connect to Markets

Deliver business, branding, and digital skills training while opening structured routes to urban and international buyers.
